High School (9th-12th Grades)

The Arlington Country Day High School student body is a comfortable mix of students who have been in the school since elementary and those who have joined the school since then. Students from various nations represent a growing international population drawn to Arlington Country Day by the educational opportunity and the availability of English as a Second Language. We also challenge qualified students with Advanced Placement Classes and College Dual Enrollment.

Academic, personal, and college guidance are the hallmarks of the Upper School experience. School spirit reveals itself in various activities. Whether in the arts, athletics, community service, student government or a club, every student can find a rewarding niche in the High School. While the High School years are academically challenging and personally rewarding, our graduates agree that ACD has been worth their effort because they find themselves well prepared for the next step in their lives.

Making Reading Fun:

In addition to our well planned curriculum we offer a Summer Reading Program tailored to individual grade levels. Designed to promote the enjoyment of reading, and to develop each student’s individual potential as a reader, we create the environment for an ongoing community discussion of books.
